Hi! Weekly training post a few days late!
Well, after the awesomeness that was last week, this week wasn't fabulous, but that's okay. I'm still feeling pretty good about this month as a whole. When I realized that it was conceivable that I might run 100 miles this month for the first time ever, I got all excited about hitting that mark. I came up just short, at about 97 miles, due to crazy scheduling, Thanksgiving shenanigans, and getting a tattoo (which I LURV). Happily, though, I did hit a monthly distance PR by about 12 miles.
So, that just means that I'll work harder in December (which has 31 days, not a crappy 30 like November!) and will hit my 100 mile-mark this month.
Wednesday, 11/25 -- 4.13 miles (9:03 pace)
Thursday, 11/26 -- 5.02 miles (9:51 pace)
Sunday, 11/25 -- 5.8 miles (9:38 pace)
TOTAL FOR THE WEEK: 14.95. Pffft.
I'm taking it a bit easy this week, because I have a 10K coming up on Sunday, and it would be nice to PR at that.
On a random note, I can't wait for this semester to be over.
Great job. Hit that 100 miles in December. WhooHooo! It has 1 more day than November. lol. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteWhere is your 10K? You can do it! Woot!
ReplyDeleteWe essentially ran the same amount in November (I finished with a hair over 98 miles)! That's awesome about the monthly distance PR ::fist bump:: Methinks you'll be seeing a lot of those in the coming months. Woot to finishing out the year with a strong December :)
ReplyDeleteMark, that's with you not running for two weeks, though, right? :) Otherwise, I'm incredibly proud of this fact. ::fist bump:: Can't wait until we make a marathon training plan for moi!
ReplyDeleteLauren, the race is in Central Park. At 8AM. You'll totally be there cheering me on on your only day off, right?
Ooh, I ran 70 miles in November, and I took 6 days off. That is exciting. I am going to be hitting 100 mile months in no time! :D
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the 10k btw!!
Thanks, Kristine. Those next few months are totally scared of us! :)
